California Salmonscape

Screen Shot 2020-09-27 at 8.33.35 PM.png

A collaboration with renowned afishionado, Ray Troll, this project brought to life Ray’s California Salmonscape poster, produced during a previous phase of this project. Originally envisioned to support the Salmonid Restoration Federation’s annual Conference (cancelled due to Covid-19), the project pivoted to the production of educational materials for home use.

A deck of educational salmonid-themed playing cards are designed to teach the science of Pacific salmon to an all-ages audience through art and play. Informative recipe brochures also educate stakeholders on why, how, and when to cook different species of wild salmonids.

Pelagic Projects worked with in partnership the Salmonid Restoration Federation and NOAA Fisheries, and funding from the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.

Learn more about the California Salmonscape project here. To request materials produced during the project, visit the Salmonid Restoration Federation’s page here.
